Why Victoria’s Secret Can Kiss My (FAT) Ass!

A dear friend of mine asked me to go shopping with her because she needed my fashion advice. I was honored and needless to say we ended up having a fabulous time! Just like getting dressed, we decided to start with some lingerie and work outwards.

We started at (shreeek) Victoria’s Secret which my skinny friend can fit into perfectly. Myself on the other hand? Well, that’s why I wrote this post. Shopping here reconfirmed that Victoria’s Secret discriminates against plus size and curvy women and they don’t want us in their stores. To that, I say Kiss My (FAT) Ass, Victoria’s Secret!

Let me break down a few of the reasons Victoria’s Secret can kiss my fat ass!

One Size Fits All Thongs?

That’s right. One Size Fits All Thongs. Or so Victoria says. You got to be effing kidding me, right? How the hell can this thong fit every ass in America? Victoria has decided what the “perfect ass” size is and tells us that if you can’t fit into this ‘one size fits all’ thong, then you aren’t welcome here. Let’s get something straight . . . There is NO such thing as “one size fits all” anything unless we are talking about scarves!

Delusional Bra Sizes

Where do they come up with these sizes? First of all, they stop at a 40 DD in the stores. To top it off, the DD is NOT a true DD. I should know. I wear anywhere from a 38 DD to DDD and Victoria’s Secret bras barely cover a nipple! Plus, if a woman is wearing a DD, they better have support and these bras do not offer much in terms of support. They are more focused on marketing their padded bras than actual support and functions. Again, thanks for making me feel that I don’t belong here.

Padded Bras: Guaranteed to Add 2 Cup Sizes!

As a curvy girl, the idea of padded bras is just insulting. The fact that padded bras is one of their main selling points is another reason Victoria’s Secret is prejudice against curvy/plus size women.

Victoria Hates Plus Size/Curvy Women

If you read my blog, you’ve heard me say this a million times. When the hell are these stores going to offer sizes for EVERYONE? I’m sick and fucking tired of walking into stores and feeling as though I don’t belong there. Victoria’s Secret has always made me feel like an outsider. I see the ‘you can’t sit with us” looks I’m given when I walk in. VICTORIA, you are the one losing business because I have to shop in a high-end bra boutique that caters to my large chest. I shell out about $80 per bra and would love to have more options. If you were a smart business woman, you’d stop discriminating against plus size and curvy women. So tell us, is discrimination against plus size/curvy women your real Secret?

I love to wear lingerie. The problem is that men always rip it off too quickly. When women are dolled up in lingerie they feel sexy. So let us wear it for five minutes.

LOL…this was hilarious! Never in my life have I seen a one size fits all underwear let alone thong. I used to love shopping here long ago but Vickies has lost her mind. She has become overexposed, overrated, and overindulgent; nothing like the Vickies from years ago. Where did the quality go? With that said, where are most buying their lingerie nowadays? I totally understand where you’re coming from. My GF is a 34DD and it totally sucks that all the cute bras are for smaller breasted woman like me. I’m proud of my 34B b/c I know what woman like you go through and it’s a DAMN shame. The quality of VS lingerie is getting worse. And the prices aren’t like they use to be.

I get tons of emails from full figured women asking me to design a line for them. And I’m no longer “considering” it. I’m going to do it. I don’t understand why designers can’t design a QUALITY line for women sizes 14+. My mother is an 18 and all of 5’2. Luckliy for her I’m seamtress.

Anyway…I feel ya and hopefully I’ll be a relief for full figured women.

Or maybe they don’t believe in condoning fat people and unhealthy body types as a result of poor lifestyles. They’re not obligated to make a ton of plus sizes. I mean if you’ve ever been to a TJ Maxx or Ross, then you know why they don’t….because they don’t sell and if you’re a 38 or 40 rib cage then you need a salad not a bra.
