Hello dolls! I’m back with this week’s weigh in! I’m down 1.5 lbs for a total of 24.8 lbs since April. The Weight Watchers fairies are really making me work to see that 25 lb mark! However, I reached my 10% target this week! That means I’ve lost 10% of my body weight since I started.

Weekly Weigh In {Ten Percent Target}

According to Weight Watchers, losing 10 percent of your body weight has significant health benefits such as:

  • Lowers your body’s cholesterol levels
  • Can improve blood sugar control
  • Reduces aches and pains
  • Improves mobility
  • Can improve your breathing
  • Helps you to sleep better
  • Reduces the risk of sleep apnea
  • Helps prevent angina – chest pain caused by decreased oxygen to the heart.
  • Decreased your risk of sudden death from heart disease or stroke
  • May stop the need from regular medication
  • Reduces the risk of certain cancers

“People who have lost 5 percent-10 percent of their body weight report improvements in quality of life, a noticeable reduction in depression symptoms, increased energy, plus a more positive attitude to life.”

As I mentioned in last week’s weigh in, my goal is to get back to ONEderland by New Years Eve. I know that I can do this with lots of hard work and focus. I’m really proud of my weight loss these past few weeks given my life circumstances. There’s been some extremely hard and stressful family things going on and the “old” me would have totally shoved food down my throat to cope with it. I REALLY get it now that over eating will only add to my stress and possibly send me down a dark spiral of depression. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Aimee and Frank Wedding 10-30-10

One thing that’s really important to me in my weight loss journey is the ability to still life and enjoy life. Today is our fourth wedding anniversary! We are going out for a nice dinner tonight where I won’t be counting any points! Tomorrow night is Halloween and we are doing it BIG and partying hard. I want to enjoy these types of occasions. Seriously what is life without champagne and cake?!
