This voice inside me whispered calmly, “It’s time.” It’s time to finally conquer this once and for all.
In this episode of the Irresistible You podcast, I spill the beans on an epiphany I recently had. I’m going in on why the only way to lose weight successfully and keep it off is by approaching it with self-love and not self-hate. This episode is a long one and it’s super juicy. I’m getting extra raw, vulnerable, and personal in this one.
I had a break down that turned into a break through with my business coach recently. She told me that I’m one of the most self-aware and vulnerable clients she’s ever had. That was a wake-up call for me. It made me realize that all the work I’ve been doing these past few years on losing the emotional weight is really paying off. When other people…especially someone that I greatly respect notices that, it’s a huge compliment to the work. This made me realize that I’m finally ready.
It’s time to finally lose the rest of my weight. The physical pounds.
I’ve basically been in maintenance mode for the past year and now I’m ready to conquer the one thing I’ve never conquered before. Losing the emotional weight has prepared me for this chapter.
It’s time for me to once and for all conquer the thing that’s tried to conquer me my entire life.
I’m ready. Actually ready.
How can someone that’s always yo-yo dieted say that this is “the” last time? Haven’t you said that a million times before?
It’s because I’ve worked through my shit. I’ll continue to work through my shit. But, that statement my coach told me tells me that everything I’m doing is working. I’m approaching the weight loss portion this time from a place of self-love…not self-hate and disgust. This is the only way to get the weight off and keep it off.
I’ll leave it at that. You’ll have to listen to the episode to learn about what I’m talking about because I can say it better than I can write it.
