Hello, Fall! Can you believe it’s already fall? This is my absolutely favorite time of year. I get so excited thinking about cool weather, pumpkins, apple picking, boots with the fur, straight hair, and pumpkin spice errrrthanggg!

The other day I was feeling overwhelmed and super anxious because of the change of seasons. Strange right ? Considering how much I told you I love this time of year?  I realized I was feeling overly anxious and overwhelmed because there is so much that I want to do in the fall and there’s really not that much time to do all.the.things.

It’s the end of September and fall is here. Next thing you know it’s October, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving, and BOOM the rest of the year is all about Christmas and New Years. October is a super busy month for me because it’s my husband’s birthday, our daughter’s birthday, and our anniversary!

When I see how little time is left between now and the end of the year it feels a bit overwhelming. Like, how am I going to enjoy all of the fun/seasonal things while still working on my goals, my business, and my family?

How to Feel Fabulous This Fall

That is what inspired this week’s blog post and podcast, How to Feel Fabulous This Fall. I’m going to give you five easy tips to make this fall fabulous so that you can live an irresistible life.

1. Set a Goal

You have to set a goal of what you want to do and/or accomplish between now and the end of the year. It could be as simple as:

  • I want to go to the apple orchard
  • I want to go pick pumpkins
  • I want to take family Halloween pictures
  • I want to throw a killer Halloween party.

I highly suggest checking out my Fall Bucket List on ways you can enjoy this season to the fullest.

It could also be something like wanting to lose 20 lbs between now and New Years. When you’re setting these goals, ask yourself: “How do I want to feel when I accomplish this goal?”  A great way to gauge that is to think about how you want to feel when you wake up on New Years Day. The way that you feel on New Years Day is totally up to you and the goals you set.

2. Make a Plan

Having a goal is not enough. In order to make those goals come true, you need a plan with a ton of intentions. If I want to plan a weekend in the mountains at the apple orchard, that is not going to just magically happen! Unless, I have a specific plan with real dates and intentions behind it.

Same thing with the weight loss goal. What will your meal plans look like? When will you exercise? You have to make plans that are intentionally helping you work towards your goal (s).

3. Create a Routine You Love

In order to plan that goal, you need to create a routine that you love. It has to be something that fits your lifestyle and takes the season into consideration.  If you absolutely cannot stand waking up super early then don’t! Find something that does work for you. Now that the fall is here, the days are shorter. That means you may need to adjust your routine around the time change and the shorter days. Can you do activities that fit with the season?

I still do not like waking up early but once I’m awake I love it! I love when the house is quiet, my notifications are still off, an nobody needs me. For me, that is a routine that I absolutely love and crave!

4. Ditch the Perfectionism

I need you to ditch the perfectionism immediately! Perfectionism is only going to paralyze you from reaching your goals. There’s never going to be the right time to do anything.  There’s always a new season, holidays, birthdays, work travel, obligations, etc. That’s life! You’ve got to stop waiting for the weight. Stop waiting for the perfect timing and just start doing.

Also, ditch the perfectionism around the results of your goal. Back to our 20 lb example. If by the end of the year, you drop 15 pounds I already know what you’re going to say to yourself. You’ll call yourself a failure and focus on how you didn’t lose the other 5 lbs. Instead, you’ve got to start celebrating what you DID accomplish and all of the other “non scale victories” that allowed you to achieve so much.

Don't wait for the weight

5. Get Your Glam On

It’s time to focus on yourself and get your glam on. When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good you do good. Fall is all about fresh starts. Maybe it goes back to our memories of getting haircuts for school?! Anyways. Find a routine that works for you. Get a hair cut, color your hair, get a new makeup routine, get some cute fall clothes.

When you take the time to invest in yourself, you’ll feel confident and that radiates out of your pores. It’s contagious! You never know how much that could be motivating and inspiring to someone else. If you want to feel fabulous, go get yo glam on!

When you feel confident about yourself, I promise you that will skyrocket your goals! You’ll be busting through them goals like nobody’s business!
