1. Rewrite the Rules

We’ve received messages our entire life about our body from society, friends, family, and even ourselves. We’ve come to believe this is “just the way it is.” These unwritten rules become our inner voice that drive all of our decisions. The good news is that it doesn’t have to stay this way. In order to re-write the rules, you first have to figure out what yours are. What are you constantly telling yourself? What does your inner voice say to you?

2. Get Yo Self a Journal

A journal is a great way to brain dump all of the chaos that’s churning around in your head. I also recommend putting your wins and kudos in your journal so that you can reflect back on your bad days. Of course you need to get you a pretty journal. Here are some of my favs:

3. Get a Support System

Who are the people that just get you? Do you have people like this in your life? These types of people are hard to find and you’re incredibly blessed if you have a handful of them. I’d much rather have four quarters than 100 pennies. Community, support, and relationships are so important. It’s so easy to fall into the trap that we can do it all without anyone else’s help. I used to view asking for help as a weakness. I still struggle with this at times. I now realize that I NEED help from other people who understand, can listen, and are stronger in certain areas than I am. While I love my husband and he’s my #1 supporter who I can tell everything, there are just things that I’d rather talk about with other women that get it. That’s why I started my private Facebook group and why I’m running a free challenge that just started this week! If you struggle with your confidence due to weight, body image, or emotional eating then you NEED to be here. With people that just get it.
