Lately I’ve mentioned that I’ve been in a slump regarding my Weight Watcher’s journey. I do this all the time. I do really well and then BAM . . .I fall off the wagon. I keep doing the infamous, “I’ll start tomorrow.” Then it’s “I’ll start next Monday.” Enough already!
I think that has more to do with not making this a permanent lifestyle change just yet. I am still trying to get to that point and it’s a huge learning experience. I am still hearing lots of compliments about my weight loss so far and I have to stop and remind myself of how far I’ve come. Sometimes I don’t take those seriously but when I look back, I have come a long way!
A little flashback to “Medusa” tends to remind me . . .
This comparison picture reminds me that change is possible. No matter what you are going through. If there is something you seek to change, you can do it. It’s all up to you. That’s the hardest part.
Nobody, not one single soul other than YOU can make up your mind and do it.
I don’t have a secret for how to change other than YOU must be ready and willing. I’ve been there and I’m still there going through how to change and make years of bad habits into good ones.
Let’s share your thoughts. How do you overcome change? Did you find it was more mental than anything else?
See you on the comments cupcakes!
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” ~Maria Robinson~
We do have to train our minds to do what we want and change is def…..good, in soooo many ways(: With strength and encouragement we can overcome anything…enjoy the day!
I agree Vic! Our minds are such a powerful place. But yet we think it’s our bodies that can’t rise to the occasion. Thanks for commenting!
So true, only you can make yourself change and make the difference in your life.
I like to mix things up in my “life change”. For example, I started taking dance classes, and I just purchased one of those as seen on tv workout things. I know I probably won’t use it forever, but it keeps me going. And that is the thing that matters most to me.
Keep up the positive thoughts! 🙂
you’re so right. change is possible, its just hard! lol
KrzyKron – Dance lessons sounds like fun!
That fat-shionista – It is very hard! LOL. We all have it within us though. It’s just finding your inner motivation!
I think it’s sooo much harder to train our brains than any other muscle in our body! The good news is that with time, we CAN train our brains. The most important thing is to learn balance – it’s okay to have a bad day now and then, that’s life, and it’s normal. It’s what we do AFTER a bad day that’s important. You’re doing a great job – keep up the awesome work!
Wow, this is really inspirational. Not only in terms of loosing weight or anything, but inspirational for life in general. And you are so right: it’s up to us what we make of ourselves. Thank you for reminding me!
You did exactly what I do when I feel like I am in a slump- look back. Remind yourself how far you have come, and girl, you look great! 🙂 Whoohoo!
Thanks Michelle! I totally agree. Our minds are a powerful place! This is truly a journey, isn’t it?
coffeerocketfairytale – You can definitely apply this to any challenge or change in your life.
TJ – Those pics don’t lie! It is such a great reminder. Even if we are not where we want to be at this exact moment. At least we’re not “there”! Thanks girl 🙂
To see your change just reinforces what I need to do. I need to find that motivation. I’ve tried everything…money, trips, health. I start and then fall off. Well, I’m in the fall off stage right now. Thanks for the extra push!
I know what you mean. I’m in a little rut right now. We ALL go through it. It’s just about recognizing it and getting back on track!
