Good morning! I started my Monday morning off with my first day of the Couch to 5K program. A friend and I are doing this together. I’ve wanted to make a habit out of two things for a long time:
1. Waking Up Early (earlier)
2. Working out Daily
By doing this with a friend it will keep us both accountable. That is something I was lacking tremendously.
We committed to this program which is 3 days a week for 8 weeks. At the end you areĀ supposedĀ to be able to run a 5K with no problem. To stay motivated I’m signing up for my first 5K in December. Ahhhhh!!! I’m a little scared but I NEED to do this.
Running a 5K is something I just never thought I’d be able to do. I’m not one of “those people.” HA! I CAN be one of those people and I CAN be a healthy, in-shape person.
So, I bought myself some new running shoes yesterday and I’m proud to say that Day 1 of Week 1 is DONE!!
Getting up at 5:45am was totally worth it after the feeling of accomplishment and this gorgeous sunrise!
I may not be able to run a 5K today but with taking these small steps, I’ll get there. You must start somewhere. Starting is the hardest part. Anyone can change and you can accomplish what ever you put your mind to. Wish me luck!
